VOSEO Phenomenon

In Latin America today, there are three main forms of verb conjugations according to the VOSEO phenomenon.

These varied forms across countries stem from confusion between the diphthong and simplified vowel forms during the colonial era in Spain.

Maintaining the diphthong form used in countries like Venezuela, Panama, and Cuba

Simplified vowel form of verb conjugations generalized in most countries where VOSEO  is prevalent such as Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and El Salvador.
